Planning the 2nd Rage for Timmy Concert was a breeze. I already had the venue set 6 months in advance (once again at the Muellner Building at Hart Park in Wauwatosa) so I had more than enough time to organize everything. Most of the bands who played last year came back to rage again and we even had a few new musicians ready and willing to rock. Since I spent less time figuring out the logistics, I had time to release a "new" Tim Reck CD. I sifted through years of recorded but unreleased material and put together an album which I titled Color In This World (click the link to go that page and listen to it). We handed out copies of the CD, shared some beverages, treats and snacks and everyone in attendance seemed like they had a great night. Things couldn't have gone smoother and once again I had a whole lot of help setting up, running the show and cleaning up afterwards. I can't thank everyone enough for pitching in and making this one of the highlights of my year. My family and I thank everyone who performed, contributed food and snacks, helped out in any way possible but we mostly want to thank you for your generous monetary donations. As in previous years, we accepted donations which we in turn gave to WHY Hunger, a charity started by Harry Chapin. Thanks to you we sent them over $600 dollars which will go a very long way to help those less fortunate than us. Holding this concert to celebrate Timmy's life is one thing. Using it to help possibly save the lives of others elevates this cause to new levels. As long as the musicians and their fans keep showing up to the Rage for Timmy Concert, I will keep doing it. We'll see you in August 2014.
